Dear CV ~ I am truly astonished with how well this product worked. I have be borrowing my inlaws extra vehicle for a few weeks now. I decided to get it cleaned inside and out, then noticed the headlights had “cataracts”, and that’s why the lights seemed so poor at night. Stopped at a local Auto Parts store, looked over about 6 different options for headlight restoration products. This seemed to be the only kit that included every single thing/step I would need, carried a lifetime warranty, and pricing was middle of the road. I’m a stay at home Mom, not experienced in anything with vehicles but driving them. This took me very little time…maybe 10 mins. from start to finish, and wow, what a difference. This kit has everything you need. I skipped the use of the included glove and didn’t have any problems with the skin on my hands afterwards. The only additional thing you will want to grab are several paper towels, and I used a water bottle, but any water source will suffice. I’ve shared comparison photos with several people who have also been quite impressed. Big difference with night driving, now, also. Awesome – Worth every penny! Thank You! ~ Amy M. – Central PA

Many of the individuals are unaware of the truth that unclear, blurred, foggy and yellowed headlight lenses are responsible for numerous sudden collisions on the road and about nine out of ten cars are reported to be involved in an accident.

Plastic headlights are typically synthesized with polycarbonate plastic for holding ductility properties, but because of its high porosity the headlight manufacturers cover the headlight lenses with protective films. The combination of heat, sunlight, and humidity takes off the protective covering and expose the lenses to halogens and other elements and finally result in distortion of headlight lenses.

As things go, the lens will develop a foggy, cloudy and yellowed condition, while gradually abating the headlights capability to cast a perfect beam of light for absolute visibility during nights and in unfavorable weather conditions.

To reduce the adverse impacts of foggy headlights, it is very necessary to restore headlight lenses by using a high quality headlight restoration kit for bringing back the damaged plastic back to clear. This will result in the illuminating and high perceptibility qualities of the damaged headlight, ensuring a re-enforced and high durability with a new look.

If you notice that your headlights are not functioning well enough to support your ability to see clearly at night, then immediately do something to resolve that issue. The best headlight restoration kit will serve as a best solution to annihilate that issue which excludes the purchase of new headlights. These products will absolutely restore headlights very quickly and are very easy to implement and will not require the use of any special devices.

These restoration products are greatly accredited by a number of customers for efficiently clarifying the headlight lenses without the need for replacement. These products will gently, safely and absolutely clear lenses which are scratched up, pitted, yellowed, and foggy and ascertain the ability that allows you to see the roads better and drive more securely. Best perceptibility is greatly essential for driving safely on roads. These products are approved by experts for perfectly clarifying headlight lenses and are developed with a mission to be highly economical and available to everyone.

Apart from the use of best headlight restoration kits, the role of the customers is also important and they should be able to clarify the lenses quickly and efficiently without spending hours on a weekend to achieve the results that show clean and non-foggy lenses. While using any oneof the best headlight restoration kits, it is very crucial for a customer to clearly comprehend the instructions and follow every one of them accordingly to perfectly restore lenses and retain the headlights with new appeal.

It is very economical to restore your headlight lenses on your own by using accredited marketed products instead of relying on auto detailers. The headlight restoration process will re-establish accuracy, illumination photometry and high visibility to awful, blurry and cloudy, plastic headlights regardless of amount of deterioration that occurred to the headlight.

These products help to restore the headlights on the vehicle and the process takes little time to achieve a new appearance. The purchasers are advised to use water during the sanding process. Polishing products are used afterwards ensuring absolute clarity just before applying the appropriate sealer.

In today’s roadways, yellow headlights are an issue for both aesthetic and serious safety concerns. According to the National Highway Safety, high mortality rates of vehicular accidents happen at night due to visibility problems. These issues frequently occur for people residing in rural communities as there are fewer lights around the roadway compared to a larger city. Being able to see well while driving and arriving home safely are equally important. For this reason, every driver should be aware on how to clean yellow headlights.

With regular use, headlights become yellow, cloudy and foggy. Apart from the compromised clarity of yellow headlights, it may also look downright shabby. However, it is nearly impossible for all car owners to replace and discard headlights as it is too expensive. Over time, headlights may appear scratched, cloudy and yellow which can be a safety hazard.

Headlights are exposed to the sun’s heat and debris from the road. Other environmental factors such as car exhaust, smog, UV rays and strong chemicals allow headlight lenses to become degraded and oxidized over time. This results in yellow tinted headlights that appear hazy, cloudy or foggy. Not only that the lenses look shabby but they are also unsafe. This allows lesser light to pass through resulting in diminished visibility at night.

The process of how to clean yellow headlights is fairly easy. The best approach is to look for a reliable cleaning solution and a soft cloth. For minimal dirt, you can simply use a common dishwasher detergent or a glass cleaner. However, if your headlight already has some oxidation, then it is best to use a cleaning solution that is suited for the purpose. There are several cleaning products available in auto parts shop or you may ask for help from the sales person to recommend an effective product.

Make sure to use a soft cloth like an old t-shirt or a chami cloth. Pay particular attention to the instructions provided on your cleaning solution regarding how to clean headlights. Spray the solution onto the yellow headlights and rub the area with your soft cotton cloth in circular motions. Repeat the whole process until you get the desired result.

Utilize masking tape to cover painted areas around the lens of the headlights to protect it from the chemicals used. Use sandpaper to get rid of any yellowing scratches and cloudiness in the surface. Wash the headlights and dry them using a microfiber cloth. Apply a plastic polish and rub each headlight cover in a horizontal motion. Wipe the surface with a clean, dry soft cloth and check each lens for clarity. Re-polish the headlights if necessary in a vertical motion. Repeat until you meet the desired results.

Wash your car with the use of a wax-stripping agent and re-wax it. The acrylic headlights of the car will require some wax coating to protect and seal them; a synthetic wax is great for acrylic headlight lenses, so purchase some synthetic wax for the headlight covers even if you are utilizing natural wax for other areas of your car.

Earlier on, headlights were built with glass that broke easily and frequently. However, since the 1990s, polycarbonate headlight lenses have become popular. This type of plastic is clear and bounces back on impact. However, with time and exposure to sun’s UV rays, the polycarbonate headlight lense has a tendency to become clouded and hazy.

A headlight restoration cleaner brings back the condition of hazy headlights to near-new condition at a fraction of the cost that it takes to purchase brand new ones. A set of new headlights can cost anywhere between $250 and $1500 depending on the make of the car. This is precisely the reason why a number of headlight restoration cleaners are available in the market today.

Headlights of a vehicle help the driver to see ahead during night time and also be seen by other motorists. Headlights that are clear provide a good onward vision and are very important for the safety of the driver and the occupants of the car. It is purported that hazy headlights reduce night vision by as much as 90 percent. A vehicle with hazy headlights may not clear the safety inspections. With millions of cars on the roads, and many of them over 10 years old, the problem is a growing one for the road safety and inspection authorities.

The headlight restoration cleaner works to remove the haze and improve the clarity, illumination, and other optical qualities that are so necessary for the headlight to function properly. The cleaners currently available in the market are easy and quick to use. The restoration cleaners work on all car models that have plastic headlamps.

The headlight restoration cleaner kit typically includes a cleaner, an oxidation remover, and UV protection sealant. It is a good idea to use good quality hand gloves when applying the cleaner to avoid any allergic reaction. Some kits also include automotive tapes, clean cloth, spray bottle and a pair of gloves as well.

Some headlight restoration cleaners consist of a wet sanding process that involves rubbing with a medium to fine grit sanding pad until the hazy layer is removed. Water is used during the sanding process to reduce excess dust floating around. The headlight surfaces are then buffed up with a cleaning pad. A household drill can also be used in the buff-up process. Each kit has its own special polishing tool.

Some of the kits come with an extra polish. When the polish is used during buff-up process, this operation leaves a protective polymer layer that prevents oxidation and degradation in the future.

The kits come with clear instructions on how the product is to be used. The restoration operation typically gets done in less than an hour. The dry sanding process gives rise to flying plastic dust. It is therefore, strongly recommended to use eye and respiratory protection gear during sanding.

Wet sanding does not allow much dust to fly around. The headlight restoration cleaner kit can usually be used on more than one pair of headlight lamps. Many of the kits also come with a satisfaction guarantee. The looks of a car improve tremendously with clear headlight lenses and its resale value increases considerably.

Your vehicle headlights are discolored looking cloudy or foggy for several reasons and you may be worrying how to clean foggy headlights?

Headlights are usually produced from polycarbonate plastic, which is porous. The environment has its effect on headlights as they are exposed to UV rays from the sun during the day. Dust and road debris deposits and oxidation build ups make the headlight lenses foggy. Moreover, there are bird droppings; acid rain, insects and bugs that also make headlights foggy. For these reasons, the manufacturers seal the various elements of headlights, which degrade over time.

Foggy headlights will dim the light beam and can hinder your driving as they reduce the range of the light emitting from them . Foggy headlights also affect the look of the car. They may not just be a safety issue, but can be an eye sore.

There are a number of ways to clean the foggy film from your headlight lenses. Clearing the foggy headlights is simple and can be done easily. Headlight restoration involves cleaning of the headlight lenses with a cleaner kit that can be purchased from a local auto parts store. You can also save money by cleaning the headlights with homemade solutions as well, rather than their expensive replacements.

Anyone can do cleaning of foggy lights with the following method which does not require any expertise or special tools. Cleaning the headlights will increase the light by allowing more intense light beam without any obstruction from the lenses.

Here is the simple process to clean foggy headlights

Wash the headlight with water using a low-pressure hose, remove all the dirt from the headlight lenses and let them dry. Take a very small quantity of cleaner or polishing compound that came with the restoration kit you purchased and apply it on a clean dry cloth. Work it into one portion of the foggy headlight. Wipe clean with a damp cloth

Repeat this process again and apply slight pressure while rubbing; you will observe a change in resistance as the headlight becomes smoother. Stop rubbing when the headlight is smooth and clear. Wipe off the polishing compound using a moist cloth. Now clean the other portion of the lens in a similar way. It will take less than an hour to clean both headlight lenses.

The worst thing to use to clean a foggy or dim headlight is toothpaste. Number one, it is a painstakingly long process to achieve minimal results. And you will end up doing the same process over and over again as this method is extremely temporary and does provide you with very good results.

If you want even greater clarity, take a portable hand buffer and buff the headlight properly using the chemicals provided. The buffer can do buffing faster than doing by hand. Wash the head light with warm water to clean it completely. Now, dry it using a lint-free cotton cloth.

How to remove condensation from headlights?

If there is any condensation inside the lights, you have to remove the condensation. Drill a small hole about 1 mm diameter in one corner on the bottom of the lens to remove condensation. Fresh air will go inside and void out the condensation and fogginess.

Clean the other headlight in a similar way. Apply some car wax on the headlights and buff them.

The above procedure will help you to understand how to clean foggy headlights? However, if you cannot clean the fogginess of car headlights yourself, then get professional help from a qualified service center for headlight restoration service to clean cloudy headlights to make them like a new.

Which is the Best Headlight Restoration?

The headlights become foggy, dim and yellow with accumulation of dust, dirt and oxidation. Headlight restoration involves cleaning headlight lenses. There are several headlight cleaner kits available with different items at local auto parts stores.

How can you decide which is the best headlight restoration kit? It is not very difficult, if you follow these tips.

The best headlight restoration will depend on the condition of your headlight lenses. There are various brands and types of restoration kits. Some of them are meant for light duty restoration work for fair to moderate damages while others are used for heavy-duty restoration. Some of the kits do not require any tools. However, for those instances requiring major restoration, you will need some tools like a portable drill. However, you have to select the best headlight restoration kit for your needs.

In fact, there is no best headlight restoration kit available that will suit every condition of the headlight. The best alternative is to select the one that suits your needs. You must find out what is required to use those kits and what you have to accomplish. For instance, if you do not have a drill, a kit with drill attachments is of no use.

Determine the extent of damage and the actual condition of the headlight lenses. See if the damage is only on the outside and if it is minor or heavy. There may be condensation inside the lens also. If only the outside of the lens is foggy, then try cleaning with water first and see if that clears them up. You can look at new headlights and compare your headlights to them. It may involve some guessing, but you will not go totally wrong. Once you have examined them, you can assess your needs.

When there is moderate damage inside the headlight

In case the headlights are not so bad and the fogginess is medium, you can select a kit with sand papers and cleaning solution not needing any tools. That is the best headlight restoration for you.

If the headlights are not heavily damaged and you do not like sanding by hand, there are kits available with plastic polish in a bottle and special buffs mountable on a hand drill. If you have a drill machine with you, then it is the best headlight restoration solution for you. You will not need any sanding. This product works well for lenses, which are not badly hazed.

When there is serious damage inside the headlight

In the case the headlights are in bad condition you need a power sander. The best headlight restoration kit for such lenses should have sanding papers in different grits. You have to begin with the coarsest one first and gradually move to the finest grit abrasive paper to get rid of all the haze and to restore the foggy lenses. Finally, you can finish with the lens polish and sealer provided in the kit.

When there is condensation inside:

In this case, if you have a drill, the kit should additionally contain a drill bit and a silicon sealer for sealing the light. You can drill a small hole on the backside of the headlight to remove the condensation as the air will pass through it. Finally, you can reseal the light with silicon sealant. In case you do not have the portable drill, the only alternative is to rent it as you cannot do without it. The kit that includes the above items over and above those needed for outside restoration, according to your need, will be the best headlight restoration kit.

These tips will help you in deciding and selecting the best headlight restoration kit.

We felt compelled to write and let you know how happy and satisfied we are with the headlight restorer/defogger product. We too had tried several products to take the yellow look away from our headlight covers but nothing worked. We were skeptical when we purchased your product…but no longer. We found a product that actually did what it was advertised to do. We drive many miles a year including nighttime driving and the difference in visability is outstanding. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Our customers are often moved to send us a testimonial about how well our Headlights Restoration system worked for them. Read for yourselves the impact our product can have on your headlights.

CRYSTAL VIEW headlight lens restorer is the best new product I have ever used… period! I have a ’95 Mercury Tracer in otherwise excellent condition, but the headlight lenses had become so yellowed and dull that it was actually dangerous to drive it at night. After trying polishing compound with almost no improvement, I then found out that replacement lenses would be over $325 for a 13 y.o. car! So, with “nothing to lose”, I tried your product. My lenses were in really bad shape, but, working carefully, the whole process still took less than 30 min. and $20. The lenses are now not only looking ‘brand new’, but the improvement in light output is astounding! I had no idea of how little I could see when driving at night before I used your CV Headlight Restorer. Very possibly the best few dollars I ever spent.

Jeffry G
Bridgeport, CT

I just wanted to say “Thank You.” The difference your product has made on my headlights is nothing short of “Miraculous!” I never would have beleived it work as well as it did had I not seen it with my own eyes! For years I had been plagued with very dull, fogged over headlights. One night I was in the parking lot at Publix when a woman approached me and told me about your product. She said her headlights were even worse than mine before she used it. I am so happy I did! Itell everyone I can now about your amazing product! It is the best $20 I have spent in a long time! And, I did it all myself! It was easy! Not hard at all! Your instructions are fool-proof! Thanks again and may God continue to bless your business!

Michael B
DeLand, FL

Just want to tell you how much of a great product you have! Less than half the cost of replacing ONE light to restore them both and it was EASY!!!

Jim C
Powder Springs, GA

This is the best product I have ever used for restoring headlights. I have tried other products with no results. I followed the easy directions and am 100% satisfied I would and will recommend to all my family and friends. Thank you for a product that works. It was well worth the money.
