Like many other users of products like these I was rather skeptical about about their performance. So I did a considerable amount of research before buying a product like this, or just coughing up lots of money to have it professionally done. I was convinced to try your product based on recommendations from the retailer who sold it to me.
My headlights were modestly damaged with a combination of fogging, scratches, yellowing and , in my case, remnants of the original coating. They looked so bad that I was concerned that, no matter what product I tried, a good restoration would be impossible. But I figured it would be worth the attempt.
The process of your product involves a 2 part sanding process, a buffing process, and a finishing process. The initial sanding process involved removing the old finish. Your process states about 3 minutes of sanding, but my headlights were so bad it actually took me about 20 minutes. I kept sanding until the headlight surface was totally uniform. I did this based on the instructions you provided and by comments found in my research. And I think this is extremely key to getting a good restoration. It seemed like such a tedious process but I wanted to make sure I had the surface properly prepared before continuing with the following steps.
To make a long story short, I simply followed your instructions, but with lots more time spent getting the initial sanding process as perfect at I could.
The results were beyond my expectations!!
When I was finished, my headlights looked like they had just come off the showroom floor. They were perfect.
